MPI/COP Tactics Use of Force Instructor Course

Use of Force Instructor Course

 

The COP Tactics Use of Force Instructor Program is the most comprehensive method for understanding and teaching use of force. This 1-day training will familiarize attendees with the pertinent Use of Force case law and demonstrate how it relates to policy, training and actual “street” applications. Along with learning the skills to teach Use of Force, participants will be shown how to assist in Use of Force policy writing and/or review, assist officers with force-related report writing and assist agencies in defending use of force cases.

 

  • How did the Graham vs. Connor Supreme Court decision assist law enforcement?
  • Use of Force Model: Is it still a useful teaching tool?
  • What can we do to make Use of Force training truly beneficial to our officers?
  • Make your officers SAFER using the proper teaching tools and tactics.

POLICE FIGHTING SKILLS Basic Instructor Certification

 

In this 2-day course, participants will learn how to teach officers to understand Use of Force based on the most requested course in the country. The Pressure Point training is like no other. These are realistic Pressure Points that truly work on the street. You will also learn the most effective arrest tactics and baton fighting skills based on COP Tactics “make the arrest” principle.

 

Skills include:

 

  • Standing, Kneeling and Prone Handcuffing
  • Armlock to Prone position
  • Empty Hand Blocks and Strikes
  • Baton Blocks and Strikes
  • Handgun Retention
  • Pressure Point Basics

 

Participants will receive these additional four (4) certificates.

POLICE FIGHTING SKILLS Advanced Instructor Certification

 

This course is the follow-up to the POLICE FIGHTING SKILLS Basic Instructor Certification. This 2-day training block propels all of the skills to the next level. Participants will be shown additional Pressure Points that have real “knock down” potential. These skills will then be connected to the appropriate handcuffing technique. The Baton Fighting will connect blocking, striking and baton controlling techniques to handcuffing. We guarantee that this is the best DT training you will ever receive! Prerequisite: POLICE FIGHTING SKILLS Basic Instructor Certification

 

Skills include:

 

  • Resistant Handcuffing
  • Front and Rear Wrist Locks
  • Empty Hand Blocks to Strikes to Control and Handcuffing
  • Baton Blocks to Strikes to Control and Handcuffing
  • Advanced Subject Control
  • Advance Pressure Point Skils
