Use of Force Instructor Course

The COP Tactics Use of Force Instructor Program is the most comprehensive method for understanding and teaching use of force. This 1-day training will familiarize attendees with the pertinent Use of Force case law and demonstrate how it relates to policy, training and actual “street” applications. Along with learning the skills to teach Use of Force, participants will be shown how to assist in Use of Force policy writing and/or review, assist officers with force-related report writing and assist agencies in defending use of force cases.

COP Tactics Defensive Tactics Instructor Certification

This is not a martial arts class or a class designed by martial artists that have never done our job. Our program was developed by “Street COPS” with a martial arts background for COPS. Finally, teach your officers techniques that they will feel confident about using on the street. We have eliminated all of the “phony techniques” that most officers found ineffective on the street. If there are five hand exchanges before a subject is handcuffed, it is not a street applicable technique. We train officers to “make the arrest” using effective, easy to learn skills. At COP Tactics, we don’t dwell on baton techniques. We teach officers to FIGHT and WIN when they are forced to use their baton. Officers learn to defend themselves and then STOP an Assaultive Subject using our proven Empty Hand system. We give them actual knockdown and hold down ability targeting proven pressure point areas.
